    This year’s salute is Feb. , and we encourage communities across the country to take part in this effort to honor our hospitalized veterans and to seek out opportunities to volunteer at.   The week of February has been designated as "National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week." I had the honor of visiting vets at almost every floor of the Veterans Hospital in Denver on Valentine's Day. This day was another reminder to me of our veterans who face many challenges after their military service to our country.

      This week the Orlando VA Medical Center is celebrating the National Salute to Veteran Patients. We will have several events this week at our facilities to honor Veterans.
